Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
In short: You can stop a rental any time and only pay for the seconds you used. If an instance fails through no fault of yours, we don't charge for it and credit your wallet. Wallet top-ups are for use on the Platform; refunds of unused balance are handled case-by-case as described below.
1. Cancelling a rental
- You may stop an Instance at any time from your dashboard. Billing stops when the Instance stops.
- Usage is metered (typically per second) by GHive’s control plane. You are charged only for metered runtime.
- There is no separate cancellation fee for stopping an Instance.
2. Failed or interrupted instances
- If an Instance fails to start due to a Host or Platform fault, you are not charged for it.
- If a running Instance is interrupted by a Host failure, power/network outage, or Platform issue, you are billed only up to the point of interruption.
- Where we determine a charge resulted from such a fault, we will reverse it as Wallet credit. Credits are usable for future rentals on the Platform.
3. Wallet top-ups
- Wallet top-ups are prepayments for compute and platform services, denominated in INR.
- Promotional or bonus credits (e.g. welcome credit) are non-refundable and non-transferable, and may expire.
- You may request a refund of an unused, paid Wallet balance (excluding bonus credits and amounts in dispute). Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via our payment processor, less any non-refundable transaction fees and applicable taxes, within a reasonable processing period.
- We may decline refund requests linked to fraud, abuse, chargeback activity, or policy violations.
4. Host earnings
Host earnings accrue to the Host’s Wallet based on metered usage. If a rental charge to a Renter is reversed due to a Host fault, the corresponding Host earning may be adjusted accordingly. Payouts are subject to verification and applicable taxes.
5. How to request a refund
Email support@ghive.co.in from your registered email with your account details and the transaction/instance in question. We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and resolve them within a reasonable time.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we will work to resolve it. Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may lead to suspension while the dispute is investigated.
